We ensure that their gifts transform the lives of those suffering from blindness, and advance new treatments and cures for blindness.SummaryEversight's Donor Eligibility Coordinator is responsible for determining donor corneal tissue suitability based on Eversight and EBAA Medical Standards and in full compliance with FDA regulations.Hours: (4) 10-hour shifts (7am-5pm ET) with rotating weekend coverageRemote work schedule with occasional mandatory in-office days.Fair Labor Standards Act Status: Non- ExemptEssential Job FunctionsStudies donor medical history to determine if ocular tissue is eligible for surgical transplantation. Utilizes proficient understanding of medical terminology to review patient medical records, lab results and diagnoses in detail in order to make critical decisions. Performs accurate and efficient data entry of patient medical and social history. Provides superior customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Upholds strict HIPPA compliance. Maintains professional knowledge and adapts to industry changes through continuing education, workshops, and other professional educational publications. Qualifications:Experience: Experience in medical field preferred. Experience with medical chart review and management is required.Education: Undergraduate studies in science field preferred.Skills: Detail orientated. Effective communication. Flexibility.Knowledge: Comprehension of medical terminology. Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe. Proficient with technology. Routine limited noise, room temperature fluctuation and dust are possible. Audio, visual and verbal functions are vital aspects of this position.
