Project Engineer

Job Description nJob Description nAssist in the management and successful delivery of Parks and Recreation construction projects from award through completion. Through collaboration with the Estimator, Project Superintendent, Specialty Superintendent, General Superintendent, and Division Manager, this role coordinates project activities, supports field operations, and helps ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. n** Roles, Duties, & Responsibilities: ** nnMaintain and update project schedules. nCoordinate weekly scheduling meetings and distribute minutes. nReview job costs, quantities, and investigate discrepancies. nAudit timecards, equipment usage, and field receipts. nTrack material quantities, yields, and resolve variances. nPrepare daily cost and production reports. nDraft project correspondence and documentation. nReview project plans, specifications, and estimates. nBecome familiar with project scope and requirements. nPrepare and track submittals and project documentation. nObtain required permits and approvals. nSet up and distribute project startup documentation. nAttend pre-planning, pre-construction, and project meetings. nDevelop construction schedules and cash flow reports. nProcess change orders, force accounts, and back charges. nAssist with project closeout, as-builts, and job cost history. nPrepare project progress estimates. nConduct regular site visits. nSupport estimating through takeoffs, research, and vendor coordination. nLearn and utilize the Hard$ estimating system. nFollow all company safety policies and procedures. nPerform other duties as assigned. n n** Work Qualifications ** nnProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Suretrak (Primavera), and Prolog. nValid driver's license required. nGeneral knowledge of heavy civil construction operations and equipment. nAbility to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents. nAbility to visualize 3D construction from 2D drawings. nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. nExcellent verbal and written communication skills. nStrong technical knowledge of construction methods and practices. nDetail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. nAbility to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. nAdaptable to changing priorities and project demands. nWillingness to work extended hours, weekends, and travel as needed. nKnowledge of governmental regulations and project requirements. nStrong leadership and interpersonal skills. n n** Education & Work Experience Requirements: ** nnBachelor of Science Degree; AND/OR nMinimum five (5) years of experience in related field; OR nAny equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. n nnCompany Description nAt Hunter, our primary focus is our responsibility to our community.
