Accounts Payable & Receivable Supervisor-HW
Under the general direction of the Director of Finance, the Accounts Payable & Receivable Supervisor oversees, implements, and supervises all activities related to the HealthWest's Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations within the HealthWest finance office. The Accounts Payable & Receivable Supervisor ensures timely and accurate processing of vendor payments, monitors compliance with policies and regulations, evaluates current AP processes, and implements improvements as needed. In addition to Accounts Payable oversight, the Accounts Payable & Receivable Supervisor also provides leadership and coordination of AR functions, ensuring accurate, miscellaneous receivable billing, timely collection, proper revenue recognition, and compliance with payer and governmental requirements. This includes supervising staff responsible for AR processes, monitoring outstanding receivables, resolving billing issues, and implementing procedures that strengthen internal controls and support the financial stability of HealthWest. This position works closely with internal departments, external vendors, and auditors; supervises a team of technical and clerical staff; and exercises significant independent judgment and initiative. The Accounts Payable & Receivable Supervisor applies professional accounting principles, demonstrates strong analytical capabilities, and represents the Director of Finance in departmental meetings and public forums as needed.1. Possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a closely related field AND a minimum of one (1) year of full time experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or governmental accounting;
OR
Possess an associate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting Finance, Business Administration or a closely related field AND four (4) years of full-time experience in accounts payable or governmental accounting.
Must have reliable transportation that may have to be used to carry out job duties of this classification.
Preferred but not Required
Bilingual candidates highly desired.

Individuals in Recovery and individuals with experience in Armed Services valued.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
An employee in this class generally works in the offices of HealthWest, although travel to other County locations and out of the County travel may be required. Hybrid in person/remote work arrangements may be available at the discretion of the department head.

EVALUATION CONTENT
Applicants for County employment may be subject to a post-offer criminal background check, depending on the nature and assignment of the position.
