Fire Guard/Security Officer
Job Summary:
We seek a licensed Fire Guard/Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our properties. The successful candidate will monitor premises, respond to emergencies, and enforce building policies.
Responsibilities:
Security:
1. Patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or criminal activity.
2. Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
3. Respond to emergencies, incidents, and alarms.
4. Enforce building rules, regulations, and policies.
Fire Safety:
1. Conduct regular fire safety inspections and report hazards.
2. Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and codes.
3. Respond to fire alarms and emergencies.
General:
1. Maintain accurate records and incident reports.
2. Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff.
3. Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
Requirements:
1. Valid New York State Security Guard License
2. Valid New York State Fire Guard Certificate
3. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
4. 1-2 years of security or fire safety experience.
5. Excellent communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Desired Certifications/Licenses:
- F01
- OSHA certification
- CPR/First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Work in varying environmental conditions (temperature, lighting).
- Respond to emergencies and alarms.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

10 hour shift
12 hour shift
8 hour shift
Day shift
Evening shift
Monday to Friday
Night shift
On call
Overnight shift
Weekends as needed
Experience:
Fire guard: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
F01 (Required)
