We use state-of-the-art tools, processes, and technologies, with capabilities encompassing a broad range of technical disciplines including electrical, mechanical, materials, aerospace, and manufacturing engineering.This role is for a Lab Lead to support Marlborough, MA Hardware Engineering Labs. In this role, you will manage and implement engineering lab strategic projects and day-to-day administrative functions within multiple engineering labs, with specific focus on safety, security, and compliance using established doctrine and governance. You will be creative and innovative, possessing strong organizational, coordination, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. In this position, you must be able to collaborate with customers, employees, and senior leaders when implementing process and procedural changes.This position is an onsite role in Marlborough, MA. The position will be covering multiple labs across the site.This role is located on-site in Marlborough, MA.What You Will DoLab Operating Procedure (LOP) Management; provide direction for lab users on established policiesManagement coordination and implementation of Environmental Health Safety and SustainmentProperty & Metrology Management including maintenance of equipment service contracts and ongoing equipment repairsPerform cost analysis, ensure task completion within approved budgetsPerform lab purchase requests through SAP, SRM, and Vallen, while providing process support to Supply Chain Management (SCM)Oversee audit/assessment preparation. Overseeing Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Voluntary Protection Program; develop corrective action plans and assist in the development of long-range objectives, including engineering customer goalsSafeguarding of classified/proprietary material, hardware, and documentation, utilizing defense material/property under Export Administration RegulationsDevelop and implement communication plans, providing consulting support to functional and engineering customer managementWork to influence stakeholders within and outside responsible areas at an operational level regarding policies, practices, and proceduresWork autonomously with limited oversight; provide professional input, guidance, and problem solvingThis position requires some physical exertion while standing, sitting, or walking, working outsideLocal travel in the general area may be required, with occasional travel outside the local area What You Will LearnTime management skills resulting from broad administrative management responsibilitiesLab specific knowledge necessary for accessDiverse horizontal and vertical communication skills Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5-years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3-years' experienceExperience in an engineering lab environment area overseeing or implementing safety, security, compliance and property managementThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
