Our diverse portfolio spans from high-visibility mobile apps—such as the Dillard’s Customer App and associate-facing tools like Connect and Grow—to essential enterprise systems, including our Item Attribute and Learning Management platforms. We also build and manage the applications that empower our associates to cultivate and nurture lasting relationships with our clients. In this role, your contributions extend far beyond writing code. You will play a vital part in strengthening security, enhancing usability, and shaping the way thousands of users engage with our platforms. Working within a highly collaborative and purpose-driven environment, you will partner with fellow developers, cross-functional IT teams, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that make a tangible impact. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Research, code, test, implement, and validate changes to ensure successful outcomes. Solve complex problems proactively and maintain self-motivation. Develop and maintain backend applications using Spring Boot with Java or Kotlin, and support legacy programs written in Groovy/Grails. Develop front-end applications using Angular and modern web technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap). Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployments across multiple environments, including our containerization platform. Collaborate with database teams to utilize MongoDB, DB2, and other systems for development and testing. Follow the Enterprise SDLC by utilizing AI code generation and assistance tools throughout the development lifecycle. Conduct peer reviews and contribute to test automation. Communicate effectively within our co-located, collaborative team environment. Deliver enhancements, updates, and new features using supported frameworks and libraries Stay current with framework and library upgrades through continuous research and implementation. Participate in a 2-week on-call rotation Maintain a strong and reliable professional presence.
