Team members collaborate to design and support programs that cultivate civic responsibility, local leadership, and a shared sense of purpose.Role Description The Program & Communications Coordinator is a dynamic, mission-driven professional responsible for coordinating program operations while managing organizational communications and digital engagement. This role serves as the operational backbone for program delivery and helps amplify the organization's impact through compelling storytelling, marketing, and stakeholder engagement.In a small nonprofit, this individual wears many hats and collaborates across programs, fundraising, operations, and leadership. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, an excellent writer, and passionate about building community through effective communications and exceptional program execution.This entry-level, non-supervisory position will be responsible for managing social media community management and content, various administrative tasks, tracking the budget, and measuring overall impact in direct support of the day-to-day programming. The Program & Communications Coordinator will report directly to the Sr. Program Manager with a matrixed working relationship with Marketing.Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Program Coordination (75%)Act as the main daily liaison for Brickyard Leaders, addressing standard inquiries and referring complex or critical matters to Senior Program Managers.Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person programs, trainings, events, and convenings, as well as onboarding activities for new Brickyard leaders.Maintain program calendars, timelines, and project plans to ensure deadlines are met.Track participant engagement, attendance, and program outcomes. Maintain accurate records within organizational databases, such as Salesforce. Support facilitator and speaker coordination, including scheduling and materials preparation.Support evaluation and reporting activities to include the gathering of metrics, analysis, and assessment to track and report on program efficacy.Assist with maintaining program resources, toolkits, and learning materials.Oversee the dissemination of educational resources, programmatic toolkits, and timely internal communications.Monitor the execution of action items and ensure the Programs department meets all project milestones.Communication & Marketing (25%)Act as the cross-functional link between Programs and Marketing, facilitating unified messaging and the prompt advancement of organizational priorities.Execute the Marketing team’s strategic communications calendar across The Brickyard’s social media channels.Maintain communication content calendar (newsletters, announcements, blog posts, etc) promoting Brickyard events, initiatives, and campaigns aligned with the organization’s marketing & communication strategy. Coordinate with the Marketing team directly and support execution of organizational campaigns. Gather qualitative narratives, photography, and impact data from Brickyards to enhance organizational storytelling, development efforts, and promotional outreach.Assist in creating engaging multimedia content (written copy, graphics, photos, videos) for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, and X. Schedule and publish content using social media management platforms such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar tools.Monitor social media engagement and respond to community inquiries.Maintain brand consistency across all communications.Community EngagementFoster positive relationships with Brickyards, partners, and stakeholders. Support recruitment efforts for programs and events.Represent the organization professionally during events and community engagements.Administrative SupportAssist with meeting coordination, agendas, notes, and follow-up actions.Support Brickyard budget tracking for program activities.Maintain organizational files, templates, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.Assist with grant writing/reporting by gathering program metrics and success stories.Support special projects and organizational priorities as assigned.Compensation: The annual salary range for this role is $50,000–$60,000 and competitive, world-class benefits, including, but not limited to:30 days flex time offEmployer-paid health insuranceOrganization-wide two weeks off at the end of the yearEmployer-matched 401k plansLocation: This position will be remote. Hire Date: Fall 2026QualificationsRequired:2-3 years of experience in nonprofit programs, communications, marketing, event planning, project coordination or a related fieldExceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong project management and organizational abilities with excellent attention to detailExperience managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines within budgetProficiency with Google Workspace.Experience using Canva for graphic design and presentation development.Experience managing professional social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok, and scheduling tools (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar).Experience working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, Airtable, HubSpot or similar platforms.Experience working independently while collaborating effectively across teams.Embody The Brickyard's Community AgreementReceive and give feedback as a way to grow professionallyPreferred requirements:Veteran, military family member or experience working with the military and Veteran community Experience working in a startup, nonprofit, civic engagement, education, public service, or mission-driven organization(s).
