This role involves creating and executing seasonal pastry menus, managing inventory, and coordinating with other departments to enhance the overall dining experience. This is an hourly position with a pay rate of $26.00 per hour.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervises and participates in the preparation of pastries and dessertsDevelops menu for baked itemsRelays feedback of kitchen employees to department managerProvides input for creation of baked goodsCompletes daily food production sheets and other reportsInspects orders to ensure high quality and presentationCreates signature pastries, desserts and daily specials with approval from Executive ChefPrepares and inspects food to maintain quality standardsInspects ingredients upon delivery and before use to ensure qualityAssists in quarterly inventories and recommends stock amounts to Executive ChefStores unused food properly to minimize wasteShares food and beverage complaints with Executive Chef and works to resolveEnsures department adheres to Choice Hotels, local and state health, hygiene and safety policiesWorks with other departments to efficiently operate kitchenAssist Executive Chef and Sous Chef as neededCoordinates kitchen staffing and food quantities with high volume periods for banquets, restaurants, and barReports special requests, food spoilage, and other Pastry concerns to Executive ChefResponds quickly and accurately to requests for special accommodationsDevelops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagementDevelops and recruits the human resources necessary to achieve hotel and Management Services' goalsDirects the development and implementation of strategies and practices which support employee engagement throughout the hotelOversees all facets of human resources management including the recruitment and selection, training & development, compensation, recognition and performance management of the work forceTakes active role in recruitment and selection of qualified candidatesCommunicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedbackProvides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potentialDrives employee engagement through the creation and implementation of departmental action plansCreates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson Blu experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations.
