The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our food service operations and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using three compartment sink. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by regularly cleaning surfaces, floors, and equipment. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting dirty dishes to the dishwashing area. Ensure that all kitchen supplies are stocked and organized for efficient workflow. Collaborate with kitchen staff during peak service times to ensure timely dish availability. Follow food safety guidelines and maintain proper food handling procedures at all times. Assist with banquet or catering events as required, ensuring all service ware is ready for use. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential. Experience in food preparation or culinary settings is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others in the kitchen as needed. Excellent cleaning skills with a focus on maintaining high standards of hygiene.
