We do not haul trash; we sit between clients and haulers to audit invoices, optimize contracts, right-size service, centralize billing, and manage service issues. Our work is built around cost predictability, operational clarity, and strong execution.The Role (What You'll Do)The Service Optimization Analyst will be focused on optimizing our clients' waste and recycling services. They will be responsible for proactively and reactively analyzing how each client is set up today, and identifying opportunities to improve service efficiency, reduce issues, and create better overall outcomes.This role is highly analytical and operational. You will look closely at how services are used and recommend changes to improve performance across the board.Key ResponsibilitiesService Analysis & OptimizationAnalyze current service setups, including container counts, sizes, and pickup frequencyEvaluate actual usage patterns, including overflow activity, overages, and contamination chargesIdentify opportunities to improve service configurations (e.g., adding/removing containers, adjusting frequency)Recommend changes that lead to more efficient and effective service for each clientProactive & Reactive ReviewContinuously monitor accounts for inefficiencies or recurring issuesFlag properties with high levels of overages, contamination, or service inconsistenciesRespond to internal or client-triggered issues by diagnosing root causes and proposing solutionsEnsure service setups evolve as client needs change over timeVendor & Service CoordinationWork with customers and vendors to adjust service levels, container setups, and service schedulesEnsure recommended changes are implemented accurately and in a timely mannerTrack the impact of changes and refine recommendations as neededData & ReportingTrack key service metrics such as overages, contamination charges, and service adjustmentsBuild and maintain simple dashboards or reporting to monitor trends across the portfolioProvide clear, actionable insights to internal teamsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Service, Account Management, and Billing teams to identify and implement improvementsQualifications2+ years of experience in operations, analytics, logistics, or a similar roleStrong analytical mindset with the ability to spot patterns and inefficienciesComfortable working with data in Excel or Google SheetsDetail-oriented with a problem-solving approachStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyAbility to operate in a fast-paced, in-office environmentNotice: WSS does not accept unsolicited contact from recruiters, agencies, or third-party vendors.
