Senior Geotechnical EngineerA growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to support complex transportation, water/wastewater, and heavy civil infrastructure projects across the Southeast. The company is currently positioned to secure geotechnical work on several major multi-billion-dollar highway projects, making this an excellent opportunity to join a firm entering a significant growth phase. Ideally they would be looking for people to start mid-June once the projects are secured.ResponsibilitiesLead geotechnical projects from proposal through construction.Oversee subsurface investigations including drilling, sampling, CPT, and rock coring.Perform and review geotechnical analyses including:Shallow and deep foundation designSettlement analysisSlope stabilityRetaining wallsGround improvementPavement designEarthwork recommendationsPrepare technical reports, calculations, and construction recommendations.Manage project schedules, budgets, and client coordination.Provide construction-phase support and field observations.Mentor junior engineers and support technical development.Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.QualificationsM.S. in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical focus preferred)PE license in Georgia, or ability to obtain within 6 months8+ years of geotechnical engineering experienceExperience supporting heavy civil infrastructure projectsStrong communication and project management skillsExperience with software such as LPile, APile, GeoStudio, Slide, GROUP, SHAFT, or GRLWEAP preferredBenefitsCompetitive compensation package - base salary starts at $140k and goes upwards DOEStrong medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company contributionCompany-paid disability and life insuranceProfessional development supportGenerous PTO and paid holidays
