Job Description Project Manager - Mechanical ContractingAustin, TexasPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Project Manager with proven experience managing large-scale mechanical construction projects. This is a mid-level role reporting to a Senior Project Manager and supporting the execution of a major commercial project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing HVAC, piping, and/or plumbing scopes within a union mechanical contracting environment and be comfortable working on complex, fast-paced projects with multiple stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day project execution under the direction of the Senior Project ManagerOversee HVAC, piping, and/or plumbing scopes from preconstruction through closeoutDevelop and maintain project budgets, cost forecasts, and schedulesReview and manage subcontractor/vendor contracts and performanceLead coordination meetings with field teams, subcontractors, engineers, and ownersTrack and manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and procurement logsEnsure compliance with contract documents, safety standards, and quality requirementsSupport labor planning and collaborate with union field leadershipIdentify project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategiesMaintain strong client relationships and represent the company professionallyQualificationsRequired:Minimum 5 years of experience managing HVAC, piping, and/or plumbing construction projectsExperience on large commercial or industrial projectsExperience working in a union mechanical contracting environmentBachelor's degree (4-year) required — preferably in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldStrong understanding of mechanical systems, construction sequencing, and cost controlProficient in project management software and Microsoft Office SuitePreferred:Experience supporting projects exceeding $20M+ in mechanical scopeStrong financial acumen and forecasting abilityExperience collaborating directly with Senior Project Managers on complex builds
