Shear Operator

Job DescriptionA manufacturing company is seeking individuals who will shear and transport materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Job Duties:Manage raw material inventoryMeasure and shear sheet metal to size according to various production requirementsLoad and unload material from storage locations using an overhead crane and forkliftComplete manufacturing paperwork and ERP transactions to issue materials and ensure traceability requirements are metMaintain overall cleanliness and organization of areaPerform other duties as assignedJob RequirementsJob Qualifications:Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferredMust have experience reading blueprints and engineering drawings and be able to follow written and oral instructionsMust have the ability to differentiate metal types and thicknessesMust have strong measurement, basic reading, and shop math skillsMust be able to pay a strong attention to detailMust have knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Word, and ExcelMust be able to work independently and effectively communicate with other departmentsMust frequently lift and/or move items over 40 poundsMust have the motivation to learn and develop within the organizationMust have a solid work history with no attendance issuesOnly candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.Area Temps still believes that the best way to serve both our employees and our customers is through personal service.
