MDU Field Manager, Telecom Construction

This includes engineering teams, distributors, and more than 100 qualified construction crews with extensive experience across all ISP types and markets; over 300 experienced bury drop crews; and more than 700 professional technicians.We are seeking a Field Manager for our fiber optic construction projects for multi-dwelling units (MDU’s). In this role you will be responsible for overseeing daily field operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across all telecom construction projects. This role drives alignment between internal teams and project goals, while continuously improving processes, managing performance, and supporting company growth through strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.Why TAK?Full TimePaid WeeklyCompensation: $60K - $68K annuallyFull Benefits Package (Medical, Dental & Vision)Paid Time Off401(k) with Company Match!25K Company Paid Life InsuranceIndependent Work & Team CollaborationCareer Development & Advancement Opportunities!The RoleOversee the daily operations of telecommunications construction activities to ensure efficiency, safety, and qualityManage and support internal teams, including field supervisors, business partners and other stakeholders to ensure consistent execution of company standardsCollaborate with project managers to align operational execution with project goals, timelines, and budgetsImplement and maintain operational processes and procedures to maximize productivity and minimize delays or cost overrunsExtensive domestic travel required (up to 85%) to project sites throughout the United StatesMonitor and enforce safety and compliance standards across all active job sites and operational processesServe as a key internal point of contact for cross-functional departments to ensure smooth coordination and communication.Prepare detailed reports on operational performance, budget adherence, and process improvements.Identify and resolve operational issues quickly to avoid disruptionContinuously seek and implement improvements in workflows, tools, and communication to support company growth and efficiencyEnsure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulationsCoach, mentor, and develop team members, ensuring accountability through written performance reviews and professional development planningPerform additional duties as assignedRequirements5+ years of experience in broadband, telecommunications, construction operations, or a related industryProven leadership experience driving business strategy, operational performance, KPIs, and P&L resultsBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred but not requiredExperience working on multi-dwelling unit (MDU) projects a plusStrong understanding of operational workflows, compliance standards, and process managementExperience leading teams, conducting performance reviews, and supporting employee developmentExcellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in person or virtually and build strong internal and external relationshipsExcellent customer service, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilitiesProficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and business needs, including after-hours availability as requiredMust be able to travel extensively throughout the United States (up to 85% of the time)Ability to work indoors, outdoors, in confined spaces, or elevated positions involving bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods (up to 70% of the time)Capable of safely navigating various terrains while managing equipment and toolsWillingness to travel within the market and occasionally to other regions as neededDemonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the role through relevant skills and experienceA body weight of no more than 275 pounds to perform ladder work safely.
