Job Description Job Opportunity: Pediatric GastroenterologistOur organization is actively looking for board-certified or board-eligible candidates in Pediatric Gastroenterology to fill a full-time role within our Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology.The Department of Pediatrics at our medical school is inviting applications for a Gastroenterologist to join our established team, which currently consists of eight Pediatric Gastroenterologists and a Nurse Practitioner.About the DivisionOur Pediatric Gastroenterology division offers extensive gastroenterology and nutrition services to patients across the Inland Empire region of Southern California. We provide outpatient care through general gastroenterology clinics and specialized team center clinics that cater to patients with:Intestinal failure (home TPN)Enteral feeding tubesInflammatory bowel diseaseCystic fibrosisChronic lung diseaseSpina bifidaHome mechanical ventilationLiver diseaseOur Pediatric GI team center clinics are supported by a dedicated nurse specialist, a dietitian, a social worker, and additional administrative personnel.Facility OverviewOur medical center and children's hospital serve as a tertiary care referral facility for the Inland Empire, covering Riverside, San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono counties in Southern California. We boast a state-of-the-art endoscopy lab that performs a variety of procedures, including:General endoscopic proceduresMotility studiesBio-feedback programsIB StimBreath hydrogen studiesEsophageal pH studiesWe also provide full-time anesthesia services for endoscopic procedures. While we do not have a liver transplant program, we collaborate with regional institutions for pre- and post-transplant care.ResponsibilitiesAs a member of our division, the selected candidate will be responsible for:Delivering clinical care to pediatric gastroenterology patientsTeaching medical students and residents at our institutionParticipating in the pediatric residency programThe ideal candidate will be a skilled clinician and educator, as our children's hospital hosts a large residency program with 84 pediatric residents and 16 Med-Peds residents who rotate through the gastroenterology service.
