Our Lamar Corporate office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is now hiring a Financial Accountant. The purpose of the Financial Accountant I position is to support the Accounting department by performing various functions to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the Company’s accounting records.

What we're looking for in you:
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions
Proficiency in the use of MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc) and GSuite (Google Sheets, Slides, Docs)
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field required
2-3 years of related work experience preferred
A day in the life:
Analyze balance sheet accounts, including the preparation of multiple bank reconciliations
Prepare journal entries to record daily business activity and for the month-end close
Effectively analyze and communicate income statement trends and/or issues with the accounting team
Evaluate financial information by developing reports and verifying information
Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
Assist the Financial Accountant II, Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting Manager, or Director of Accounting with special projects, as needed
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The primary work environment is an office.
The physical demands for this position include light lifting, seeing (with a focus on reading), sitting more than 50% of the time, talking, and walking.
Nights spent traveling, away from home, are less than 5%.
