Embedded Firmware Engineer

Key Responsibilities:Develop and enhance embedded firmware using VxWorks, C/C++, and U-Boot.Implement Power-On Self-Test (POST) functionality, including memory tests, ADC voltage/current checks, and checksum validation.Develop interrupt handlers and monitoring interfaces for system health diagnostics (voltage, temperature, current, power-good, reset signals).Work with embedded development tools such as Code Composer Studio, GitLab, Artifactory, Docker, and Python.Perform SOUP (Software of Unknown Provenance) analysis and follow regulated SDLC and documentation processes.Collaborate with cross-functional hardware, firmware, and systems engineering teams to deliver reliable embedded solutions.Required Skills:7–10 years of embedded firmware/software development experience.Strong programming skills in C/C++.Hands-on experience with VxWorks, U-Boot, Embedded Linux, and bare-metal development.Experience with Git, Docker, Python, and embedded debugging tools.Knowledge of firmware validation, interrupt handling, and hardware interface development.Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Preferred:5+ years of experience in medical devices, industrial automation, or instrumentation.Experience working in regulated environments with SDLC and technical documentation.Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
