We seek a dynamic and innovative scholar who is committed to excellence in both teaching and research and who will contribute to the growth and distinction of our interdisciplinary biomedical sciences programs.1. Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in biomedical sciences and potentiallybioengineering or related disciplines, depending on expertise.2. Develop and maintain an active, externally funded research program that includedstudent involvement and contributes to the Center and Department's mission.3. Mentor undergraduate and graduate students in research, academic advising, andcareer development.4. Participate in curriculum development, departmental service, and interdisciplinarycollaborations within the College and across the university.In Class Teaching PercentageOnline Teaching PercentageMinimum Qualifications1. Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, Physiology, or a closely relatedfield from an accredited institution is required by the time of appointment.2. Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work collegially and productively3. Strong teaching backgroundPreferred Qualifications1. Post-doctoral experience in Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, Physiology, or a closely relatedfield from an accredited institution is required by the time of appointment.2. Evidence of effective teaching and a strong commitment to student-centered learning.3. A demonstrated record or strong potential for establishing an independent research program.4.
