Machine Operator Food ProductionThe Machine Operator Food Production role operates production machinery in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, supporting mixing and early-stage tortilla production. This position is responsible for equipment setup and operation, quality monitoring, ingredient handling, and accurate data entry in the ERP system. The role requires consistent lifting, standing for the full shift, and working in hot conditions near ovens while following strict food safety and hygiene standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor mixing machines and production equipment at the start of the tortilla-making processStart equipment at the first part of each shift and verify proper operation; report issues to maintenance or support teamsAdjust machine settings including oven temperatures, mesh belt speeds, product size, and weight to meet specificationsReplace mesh and Teflon belts safely and correctly when requiredVerify recipes, seasonings, product weights, sizes, and Accuview settings per ERP requirements during changeoversWeigh ingredients accurately, add them to large mixing bowls, and document all quantities usedPush and move large mixing bowls throughout the production areaEnter accurate production data, recipes, and job details into ERP/HMI systemsComplete all required production paperwork clearly and accuratelyRecord product waste correctly and troubleshoot discrepancies in waste dataWork with maintenance to resolve equipment issues and reduce downtimeMaintain a clean, organized, and debris-free work areaFollow all food safety, food defense, hygiene, and contamination prevention proceduresSupport sanitation activities and ensure equipment is properly reassembled after cleaningLift ingredient bags or containers weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the shiftCoordinate break times with the area lead and follow company break policiesStand and work on feet up to 8 hours per shift in a hot, fast-paced environmentFollow all PPE and gowning requirements, including gown, hair net, beard net (if applicable), and hearing protectionRequired Skills & Qualifications12 years of experience operating production machineryExperience with machine setup, startups, and adjustmentsFood production machine operation experience; mixing preferredBasic computer skills and ability to enter data into ERP/HMI systemsBasic English or Spanish communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to lift 3055 lbs consistentlyComfort working in hot environments (up to ~100F near ovens)Ability to stand for full shifts in a fast-paced production settingWillingness to follow strict food safety, hygiene, and contamination controlsReliable attendance and consistent performancePreferred QualificationsFood or bakery manufacturing experienceExperience in general production, mixing, blending, or general labor rolesExperience recording production and waste data in ERP systems (Plex preferred)Strong attention to detail with recipes, ingredient weights, and machine settingsAbility to work collaboratively with production, maintenance, and sanitation teamsComfort working around flour, dough, and airborne gluten particlesJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eagan, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
