DOELocation: Indianapolis, INZIP Code: 46231Start Date: Right AwayShift: 1st ShiftJob Type: 6 month CTHKeywords: #CNCMACHINIST #IndianapolisjobsJob Description: :JOB SUMMARY:Under moderate supervision, CNC Machinist I sets up and operates a range of automatic or semiautomatic machines. Reports malfunctions in equipment and makes minor adjustments and repairs.Essential Functions:Operates 5-axis gantry machinesVerifies necessary lubricants are at proper levelVerifies work order documentationGathers necessary tooling, fixtures, and materials needed for job per traveler requirementsContinuously monitors equipment to ensure safe operation and production of quality partsAdjusts machines according to dimensional non-conformityDeburr parts while machine is operatingCheck parts and record measurements using micrometers and calipersUnderstands and read production drawings, product requirements on the traveler, and know where critical characteristics areReports any machine malfunctions or safety hazardsOther responsibilities as assignedRegular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessaryAll other duties as assigned.Information Management: Treats all information and data within the organization and scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security at all times.Risk Management:Cooperates fully in all risk management activities and investigations.Reports promptly any suspected or potential violations to laws, regulations, procedures, policies and practices, and cooperates in related investigation.Conducts all transactions in compliance with all company policies, procedures, standards and practices.Demonstrate knowledge of all applicable compliance and legal requirements of the job based on the scope of practice of the position.Safety Requirements:Is knowledgeable of, observes and complies with Codes of Safe Practice, safety policies and emergency procedures.Minimum Position Qualifications:Education:* Requires a High School Diploma/GED or appropriate certifications may be* substituted to meet educational requirements only.Experience:* Requires one (1) year of relevant experience and vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:Experience in semi-repetitive specialized machine operationsStrong experience in machining toolsAbility to use hand tools and machineryAbility to operate Fanuc ControlsAbility to work closely with others in a team-oriented work environmentAble to follow instructions, sketches, blueprints, engineering drawings and manualsCapable of problem-solving: Exercises judgment, based on previous experience, practices and precedents, to identify and solve problems that arise.Effective oral and written communicationIf you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
