Clearance: Active DOD security clearance required
The Prospective Group (TPG) is seeking a Security Sector Assistance (SA) Program Coordinator to serve within the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, Office of Security Assistance (PM/SA). The successful candidate will help SA manage the Department’s concurrence on over $1 billion in DOD security cooperation authorities (e.g., Title 10, Section 333, Section 331, and Section 1256) requiring signoff from senior Department of State leadership.
Responsibilities:
This role requires effective communication and coordination between a diverse array of subject matter experts and senior stakeholders across both the Departments of State and Defense. Additional responsibilities will include maintaining security assistance metrics trackers, conducting desk-based research and analysis, and coordinating and participating at meetings with senior leaders.
Position Requirements:
Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills as they will be asked to brief leadership verbally, while also providing several written products including memoranda, research reports and talking points for SA leadership.
Must possess excellent multi-tasking abilities, sometimes requiring the incumbent to simultaneously manage four or five projects with competing deadlines.
Must have foreign policy experience or training.
Knowledge of security cooperation programming is preferred (and specific knowledge of Title 10, such as sections 333, 331, or 1263 is desired).
