Direct Support Professional - Day ProgramLocation: Parker, COCompany: To The RescueDepartment: Day Habilitation ProgramSchedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PMPay: $20.00 per hourAbout the RoleThis Direct Support Professional position supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured day program environment in Parker, CO.The focus of this role is hands-on support throughout the day- helping individuals participate in activities, build daily living skills, and stay engaged in both facility-based and community settings. You'll work closely with a small group of participants in a fast-paced but supportive environment where routines matter, but flexibility is key.Each day includes a mix of structured programming, social activities, and community outings. Success in this role comes from consistency, patience, and the ability to support individuals in a way that promotes independence and dignity.What Your Day Will Look LikeParticipant Support & Daily CareProvide supervision and support to program participants throughout the dayAssist individuals with personal care needs such as restroom use and mealsHelp participants practice daily living skills that promote independenceEnsure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all individuals served Activity Leadership & EngagementLead group activities such as games, crafts, discussions, and educational lessonsFacilitate activities that support life skills, communication, and social developmentEncourage participation and positive social interactions among participantsSupport community outings including parks, museums, volunteer sites, and recreational activities Documentation & CommunicationComplete daily service documentation and provider notesTrack attendance and assist with participant check-in and check-outReport incidents or concerns to the Day Program Manager or leadership teamCommunicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to ensure quality support Transportation & Community AccessTransport participants to community activities using agency vehicles when neededSupport participants during outings and ensure safety in community environments What We're Looking ForCompassionate individuals who enjoy supporting people with disabilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsFlexibility is essential, as plans and participant needs may shift throughout the day.Comfortable working both independently and as part of a teamAbility to stay patient and positive in a fast-paced, active environment Basic QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license and ability to be insured under agency vehicle policyWillingness to drive agency vehicles (including vans and larger passenger vehicles)Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and medication administration training (provided if needed) Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and remain active throughout the workdayOccasional lifting, transferring, or assisting individuals up to 80 lbs with proper support techniquesAbility to assist individuals with mobility and personal care tasksWork EnvironmentThis position includes both facility-based activities and community outings.
