We are committed to providing high-quality care and meaningful experiences to our residents every day.Position Summary:The Activities Aide supports the Activities Director in planning and leading engaging, fun, and purposeful activities for residents in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. This role plays an essential part in promoting emotional well-being, social interaction, and a positive environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the planning and delivery of recreational activities, events, games, and outingsEncourage and support resident participation in group and individual activitiesEscort residents to and from activity areas as neededDocument resident participation and responses to activitiesAssist with decorating, event setup, and special themed daysCommunicate with nursing staff and families regarding resident needs and preferencesProvide companionship and support to residents throughout the dayQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious experience in recreation, activities, senior care, or customer service preferredFriendly, patient, and outgoing personalityAbility to work as part of a team and independentlyStrong communication and interpersonal skillsMust be able to push wheelchairs and assist with resident mobility as neededPreferred Skills:Resident engagement, senior activities, recreation therapy, CNA, hospitality, long-term care, elder care, arts and crafts, music therapy, group facilitation, memory care, dementia programmingWhy Join Absolut Care of Aurora Park?Family-oriented, team-focused environmentOpportunities for growth and cross-training in multiple departmentsCompetitive pay and benefits for eligible employeesWork with a leadership team that values creativity and compassion
