NC.Job title: Procurement AssociateLocation: Charlotte, NCPay rate: $30 - $32.88 per hourJob Type: 1 yr contract w/ pos of extWe are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Associate to support supplier account management, supplier administration, and supplier negotiations within a dynamic aftermarket business environment.About the RoleThe Procurement Associate will be responsible for building short- and long-term aftermarket procurement strategies to support business objectives. This role will establish cross-functional collaboration with suppliers, supply chain teams, engineering, quality, operations, and product management to ensure efficient sourcing and supplier performance across the aftermarket network.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute category strategies for aftermarket parts aligned with procurement and business goalsConduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and supply risks within the HVAC aftermarket industryManage supplier identification, evaluation, selection, localization, and relationship management activitiesBuild strong supplier partnerships to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and timely deliveryLead supplier negotiations and contract discussions to achieve favorable commercial termsManage pricing with regional vendors within a cross-functional sourcing environmentDrive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality and supply continuityCollaborate closely with Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Product Development, and Operations teamsMonitor supplier performance through KPIs and support continuous improvement initiativesSupport and influence cross-functional procurement teams and assigned vendor relationshipsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 2 years of experience in Supply Chain or Sourcing within large international organizationsExperience in aftermarket or resale business environments preferredAdvanced proficiency in MS Excel and WordMinimum 2 years of experience using SAP and Power BIStrong analytical, negotiation, and supplier management skillsExcellent written and verbal English communication skillsAbility to travel within North America up to 20%, including occasional international travelPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering3+ years of sourcing or supply chain experience in aftermarket operationsProven success driving cost savings through strategic sourcing and supplier optimizationStrong market analysis and risk mitigation capabilitiesExcellent stakeholder management and presentation skillsSix Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is an advantageWhat We're Looking ForStrategic thinker with strong commercial awarenessCollaborative and relationship-driven professionalStrong problem-solving and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentRussell Tobin is a leading minority-owned professional and technical recruitment and staffing advisory organization.
