Snowflake Data Engineer100% Remote – LatamAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Snowflake Data Engineer to support and optimize our Snowflake data platform. This role is ideal for a dynamic, tech‑savvy professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, embraces emerging technologies, and is eager to explore, learn and implement AI‑driven and modern data solutions. Candidates with 60–70% skill alignment are encouraged to apply, provided they demonstrate strong learning agility and initiative.Key ResponsibilitiesPlatform AdministrationProvision, configure, and manage Snowflake accounts, databases, schemas, and virtual warehouses.Implement and maintain security controls including RBAC, MFA, and user lifecycle management.Configure and monitor Snowflake features such as Time Travel, Fail-safe, and Zero‑Copy Cloning.Security & Access ManagementDefine and enforce access and security policies across DEV, QA, and PROD environments.Manage secure data sharing, data masking, and compliance-related configurations.Performance OptimizationAnalyze and tune SQL queries using Query Profile and system views.Optimize warehouse sizing and workload management based on usage patterns and performance metrics.Cost Control & GovernanceMonitor Snowflake credit consumption and implement cost optimization strategies.Configure and manage Resource Monitors to control spend and avoid overruns.Generate usage reports, trends, and forecasts to support budgeting and capacity planning.Backup, Recovery & Data RetentionManage backup and recovery strategies using Snowflake Time Travel and Fail-safe.Support data recovery requests and ensure compliance with data retention policies.Automation & MonitoringImplement and manage Snowflake Tasks for scheduling and automation.Monitor data ingestion and processing workflows (e.g., Snowpipe) and resolve execution issues.Required Skills & QualificationsStrong ability to quickly explore, assess, and implement solution options for complex technical challenges.Dynamic, innovative, proactive mindset with a strong enthusiasm for continuous learning.Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on scalability and efficiency.3+ years of hands‑on experience with Snowflake administration and architecture.5–6 years of overall experience in Data Engineering, BI, or ETL ecosystems.Proficiency in SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Tasks, and Snowflake security architecture.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (S3, SNS) and/or Azure.Exposure to integration and analytics tools such as Informatica, MuleSoft, Tableau, or similar.Proven experience managing performance and cost optimization in cloud data platforms.Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.Preferred AttributesExperience working in onshore/offshore delivery models.Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.Curiosity and openness to experiment with modern data, analytics, and AI‑driven solutions.AnkeetAnkit.s@techrcs.comConnect on LinkedIn:https://www.linkedin.com/in/ankeet-k-2b684b8b/Join LATAM Jobs WhatsApp:https://chat.whatsapp.com/JRtO82ZvzaZ636HHt829Dn
