This is an opportunity to becomepart of a very progressive company with continued growth.Responsibilities:Maintains welds on various items using a variety of processes (manual arc, tungsten inert gas, metallic inert gas, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items ensuring safetyRepairs metal surfaces for the purpose of ensuring safe and efficient use of itemsInstalls various items for the purpose of completing projects safely and within established time framesMaintains shop, equipment, tools, vehicle, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items and ensuring safetyCoordinates with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficientlyRequests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required itemsAssists other trades personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activitiesTransports various items (e.g., tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job siteWork well with limited supervisionResponds to emergency situations as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concernsPerforms other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environmentQualifications:3 years of experience with Welding/fabricationKnowledge and skills to perform job using band saws, grinders, press brake, shear, drill press, chop saw, part paintingKnowledge of basic math or geometryRead a variety of manuals and follow prescribed formats with the ability to inform others and solve practical problemsBe able to maintain accurate recordsStrong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dynamic environment.Can lift up to 100lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching and standing for long periods of time, significant fine finer dexterity.Working Conditions:Frequently exposed to regulated noise, cold working conditions also exposed to smells that are within the guidelinesPossible exposure extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, fumes or airborne particlesWhile performing the duties of this job, you will be required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) during the workdayPersonal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, which may include a hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, gloves and other required protective equipment as required.May be required to work overtime on as needed basis.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
