This leadership role reports to the Production Manager and is critical in ensuring smooth, high-volume production in a clean, fast-paced environment. Crown Linen operates 365 days a year, so a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is required.Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupport the Production Manager in overseeing laundry operations across all departments (receiving, sorting, washing, folding, and distribution)Support team leads and resolves workflow or personnel issues promptlyEnsure compliance with housekeeping, quality control, safety, and sanitation standardsMonitor and report on labor, productivity (PPOH), and cost metricsAssist in preparing reports: daily KPIs, labor reports, operating logs, and customer feedbackCoordinate with Engineering to maintain and troubleshoot production equipmentTrain, coach, and support staff on production methods and safety proceduresParticipate in hiring, training, reviews, and disciplinary processesSupport emergency responses and customer issues as neededPromote employee engagement, retention, and team developmentAssist in maintaining OSHA compliance and regulatory trainingMaintain expected PPOH (e.g., 130+)Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement process improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma toolsBuild a high-performing, safety-conscious, and accountable team environmentThis position description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications associated with the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties and responsibilities.QualificationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in business, Operations, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in laundry, manufacturing, logistics, commercial, warehouse or distribution operationsStrong understanding of production metrics (e.g. PPOH), cost control, and workflow optimizationExperience in high-volume, time-sensitive environments (e.g. logistics, 3PL, commercial laundry, or manufacturing)Working knowledge of laundry equipment and washroom chemistry is a plusProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Bilingual English/Spanish preferredStrong organizational and multitasking skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills; team-builder with a hands-on leadership styleKnowledge of OSHA and safety standardsFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologiesWorking knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or production tracking toolsExperience working with industrial laundry or high-volume production equipment
