Electrical Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a direct hire / full-time position with a client in Cleveland, Ohio.Rate Range: $80,000.00/year to $120,000.00/year on W2; The rate may be negotiable within this range based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.Electrical Engineer job responsibilities include:Provide Electrical technical support to coil manufacturing and traction motor repair departments.Reverse engineer motor and generator coil designs, including insulation systems.Ensure that repairs meet customer specifications, expectations, and applicable industry standardsAssist with implementation of quality improvement actionsDevelop and implement electrical repairs and stator winding practices training curriculumDrive development of technician electrical work instructionsInterpret and ensure compliance with operating policies and proceduresUtilize Continuous Improvement Process Solution tools and ProcessesManage and support shop with capital improvements and integration of new capital manufacturing assetsEnsure rewinding process adheres to PowerSeal and MegaSeal requirements and One-Way specificationsStay informed on relevant IEEE/NEMA/IEC standardsConduct thorough review of stator coil build-sheets.Supervise both in process, and final acceptance tests to confirm compliance with customer specificationsQualifications:B.S. or M.S. Electrical Engineering Degree preferred – open to other based on combination of degree and direct technical experiencePreferred qualification: 5+ years’ experience with electrical motor design, maintenance, repair, and troubleshootingExperience performing RCFA to determine failure mode and FMEA’sExperience with the design, manufacturing, application, repair, testing, maintenance, and diagnostics, of electric motors and generatorsAbility to perform advanced diagnostic assessments to troubleshoot motor, generator and control issues with applicable test equipmentAbility to perform root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and develop technical solutions to OEM and Aftermarket design related problemsProvide technical phone support for customers.Write failure reports with critical technical analysisProvide technical support to the sales team, participate in customer visits, provide customer and sales trainingAbility to relate well with others in an ethical, professional, and knowledgeable mannerStrong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suiteAbility to prioritize and maintain high degree of organizationExcellent time managementAbility to communicate technical data in a clear and concise mannerPoses excellent written and verbal skillsIf you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
