Civil Engineering Consulting Firm - We are looking for a Project Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to be part of our Transportation Business Practice. The Practice encompasses work in the planning and design of transportation projects statewide for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), regional organizations such as the Alamo Area Regional Mobility Authority, and with county and local governments in and around the Austin and San Antonio Metropolitan Areas. This position can be based out of either our Austin or San Antonio office.Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.We work for several state, regional, city and county clients doing a wide variety of transportation related planning and design work that includes long range transportation planning corridor planning, capital improvement program planning, and schematic and PS&E design.The primary responsibilities of the Project Engineer include:Under general direction, perform civil engineering design and analysis on transportation planning and design projectsWorking with junior staff and assisting in the direction of other technical staff to produce quality designs and plans and interpreting plans from other engineering related disciplines (survey, utility, etc.)Serving as a Task Manager or Assistant Project Manager with responsibilities that include budget and schedule management as well as some client interactionRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringTexas PE license or the ability to obtain a Texas PE license within 6 months of hire5-10 years of experience in engineering design and plan productionExperience with Microsoft Office and Bentley design softwareExcellent written and verbal communication skillsIn addition, the successful candidate is highly motivated and will take initiative, be able to use resources efficiently and effectively, be able to work well with a team of engineers and technicians and is dedicated to providing excellent client service.Preferred Qualifications:TxDOT pre certificationsExperience working in Texas Department of Transportation roadway design projectsExperience working on city and county roadway design projectsTHE BENEFITSWe offer our team members:Opportunity to succeed in your careerA competitive salaryA broad benefits package including medical, prescription, dental, vision, company-paid life insurance, and long-term and short-term disability insurance401(k) retirement plan with employer matchPaid time off and eight paid holidaysWe also offer additional perks including alternative workweek schedules and possible work from home 1 to 2 days a week.
