Civil Engineer
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing design and technical solutions along with preparation of engineering analysis and calculations for private improvements and public works projects.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities included but not limited:
Ability to design partial to complete projects, systems, components, or processes and prepare complete project documents.
Perform research and obtain standards/codes required by client and jurisdiction.
Preparing material, equipment and labor cost estimates and confirming costs are within the budget.
Review, evaluate, and verify accuracy and feasibility of designs, data, reports and other documents before submitting them .
Review/Prepare Utility and Sitework for As-Builts and stamp for submittal.
Prepare/Review/Stamp shop drawings for contractors methods of construction.
Assume responsibility for the quality of work submitted.
May be responsible for project management, delegation of responsibilities and duties, and supervision of project team.
Qualifications/Skills
Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software.
Knowledgeable in highway access permitting, storm-water management, sanitary sewer design, and water systems design.
Strong time management, organizational, and leadership skills.
Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
Self-motivated, positive attitude, and committed to continuing education along with professional development.
Ability to multi-task as well as work individual or with a group.
Positively and effectively interacts with people of all levels within the company.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
Certifications/Licenses Required:
Delaware PE Certification
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
