Mechanical Engineer

Overview In this role you will design and develop mechanical systems for tactical shelters and related mobile platforms used in austere environments. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver field-ready solutions and contribute to installation and fielding activities. As a self-starter, you’ll creatively address technical challenges and adapt to project phases, including travel to the Middle East and the USA. ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical systems for tactical shelters (M/DAOC) and Communications On-The-Move (COTM)Utilize SolidWorks for modeling and documentationGenerate component and assembly drawings and apply GD&T IAW ASME Y14.5Support installation and fielding activitiesCollaborate with project teams and stakeholders across regionsTravel to the Middle East and within the USA as required Key requirements5–10 years of Mechanical Engineering experience in Tactical Network systems5+ years using SolidWorks modeling softwareAbility to produce component and assembly drawingsStrong understanding of drawing dimensioning and tolerancing standards IAW ASME Y14.5Proficiency with MS Officeself-startercreative problem-solvingability to work with minimal guidanceSolidWorksmechanical design documentationASME Y14.5 GD&T
