With both Classic and Spanish Immersion tracks, we emphasize project-based learning, character development, and global awareness within a nurturing and academically rigorous school community.As a small school with a strong family feel, we are seeking a Lower Elementary Classic Classroom Teacher who enjoys building relationships with students and helping them grow academically and socially.Our teachers have a meaningful voice in how the Academy operates. We create an engaging, flexible learning environment where educators can be creative and students thrive. This includes small class sizes, nature-based learning opportunities, and a balanced calendar.Key Responsibilities:Teach approved curriculum in engaging ways that support student curiosity and understanding.Develop lesson plans and instructional materials while providing whole group, small group, and individualized instruction.Communicate regularly with families through newsletters, conferences, phone calls, and other updates.Establish and maintain classroom expectations that support a positive learning environment.Monitor student progress, maintain appropriate records, and prepare progress reports.Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student learning and school initiatives.Qualifications:Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an elementary endorsementExperience teaching in an elementary classroom preferred, early elementary experience helpfulUnderstanding of elementary literacy and math instructionAbility to differentiate instruction to support a range of student needsStrong communication and collaboration with students, families, and colleaguesWillingness to contribute to a small school environment and community SalaryBA Step 0 - $50,000.00Additional compensation may be available based on verified years of relevant experience.
