Job Title: Director of Operations – Post Acute Provider ServicesJob Type: Full Time Monday through Friday - on call for urgent matters after hoursLocation: Hybrid in Washington - with travel requiredPosition SummaryThe Director of Operations (DOO) plays a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within their assigned market by managing provider coverage, facility relationships, and overall service delivery. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance operational oversight with provider engagement, scheduling, and facility administrator relationship management. The DOO will work closely with the Regional Director of Operations and VP of Operations to ensure providers are supported, facilities are satisfied, and contractual obligations are consistently met.Key ResponsibilitiesProvider Management & SchedulingManage and schedule provider coverage across all facilities in the market, including oversight of the after-hours call team.Serve as the primary point of contact for provider-related matters, ensuring staffing gaps are proactively addressed.Monitor provider performance to ensure encounter requirements are consistently met and clinical notes are closed in a timely manner.Address disciplinary and performance issues directly with providers, escalating as needed.Facility & Client Relationship ManagementAct as the primary contact for facility administrators, maintaining strong, positive relationships to ensure retention of contracts.Engage with administrators regularly to assess satisfaction, address concerns, and build long-term trust.Partner with facilities during onboarding of new providers to ensure seamless integration and continuity of care.Operational Oversight & SupportCollaborate with the Regional Director of Operations and VP of Operations to implement customer service campaigns and operational initiatives.Supervise and provide direction to operations support personnel.Ensure compliance with departmental standard operating procedures and healthcare regulations.Assist with market growth strategies, staffing plans, and facility launch activities.Work with interdisciplinary teams to improve workflows, processes, and delivery of care.RequirementsMinimum of 5 years’ healthcare experience, with at least 1 year in a skilled nursing facility environment.Strong background in provider management, scheduling, and performance oversight.Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with facility leadership.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare software.Ability to travel within the market as needed.
