Senior Environmental Planner

Job DescriptionThis OpportunityWSP is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner to join our expanding Pacific Northwest Environmental Impact Assessment and Permitting service group. The position is either remote or hybrid working out of our Seattle, Redmond (WA), Bend, Portland or Boise offices. The position will be filled by a detail-oriented candidate, with strong writing skills and ability to manage multi-discipline work flows. The Senior Environmental Plannerwill lead environmental assessment, permitting and compliance services in support clients in the power, oil and gas, manufacturing, and data center sectors. This role will work closely with project managers to ensure environmental deliverables are prepared according the quality, budget and schedule requirements.Your ImpactLeading and reviewing NEPA, SEPA, and/or CEQA environmental documentsDeveloping environmental compliance strategies and preparing documentation related to compliance with:NEPA and SEPAEnergy Facility Siting in OR and WA (EFSC or EFSEC)USFS Special Use Permits and forest management plansBLM right-of-way agreements and resource management plansClean Water Act, Section 404/Section 401Land Use Planning Requirements in OR, WA, IDLeading energy infrastructure routing and siting studiesManaging tasks or projects, including overseeing small project teamsDeveloping and managing scopes, schedules, budgetsInterfacing with clients, agencies, other consultants, and the publicWho You AreRequired QualificationsThis position requires a BS degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, Landscape Architectural, or related degreeMinimum of five (5) years of post-education work experienceExperienced in developing environmental documentation related to NEPA, SEPA, CEQA, EFSC, and/or EFSEC complianceExperienced in completing environmental permit applications and supporting analysesExcellent written and verbal communicationValid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travelPreferred Qualifications:AICP certified, or ability to obtain certification is a plusWSP Benefits:WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
