Accounting Associate
About Us
Dexter Enterprises and the Harold Alfond Foundation provide wealth management services and philanthropic support to select individuals and entities. We are seeking a motivated Accounting Assistant with strong QuickBooks expertise to join our accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
Post and review general ledger entries (including adjusting entries).
Maintain the chart of accounts and reconcile adjusted trial balances.
Perform monthly bank and investment reconciliations.
Perform bank reconciliations and setup new accounts in Quickbooks.
Assist in document management and transition to a cloud-based filing system.
Safeguard confidential financial and client information.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Associate’s with significant experience may be considered).
2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a small business, nonprofit, or wealth management setting.
Advanced QuickBooks skills (QuickBooks Online/Desktop; certification preferred).
Familiarity with GAAP principles.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
