Safety Inspector

MAIN GOAL: The Safety Inspector proactively protects MOCA personnel, clients, and operations by ensuring safe, compliant, and incident-free project execution through on-site risk identification, inspections, enforcement of ISO 45001, Amazon Safety Conditions and OSHA requirements, and immediate implementation of preventive and corrective actions across nationwide projects, serving as MOCA’s on-site safety authority and representative. Spanish and English required. 75% travelling RESPONSABILITIES: Act as the field safety authority for MOCA projects. Conduct or support daily site inspections to verify compliance with ISO 45001, customer standards, and MOCA procedures. Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), risk assessments (HIRA), and pre-task safety planning with crews. Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts; perform root cause analysis and issue technical reports with corrective actions. Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions until closure. Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions in English and Spanish. Coach and influence supervisors and workers to adopt safe behaviors and maintain a strong safety culture. Ensure all safety documentation and records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready (inspections, permits, checklists, reports, training logs) Support internal and external audits as the on-site safety representative. Represent MOCA professionally during client safety walks, meetings, stand-downs, and inspections. Assist in the development and continuous improvement of MOCA’s Integrated Management System (IMS). EDUCATION LEVEL: Technical degree or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred. Equivalent field experience accepted. CERTIFICATIONS: OSHA 30 or higher First Aid / CPR ISO 45001 Internal Auditor (desired) Forklift / MEWP awareness training EXPERIENCE: 3–5+ years of hands-on field safety experience in construction, warehouse, logistics, or industrial environments Experience working in active operational facilities (not only greenfield construction) Experience conducting incident investigations and writing formal safety reports . Experience interacting directly with clients or safety authorities.
