SummaryYou will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the NAVFAC MIDLANT, NORFOLK VA of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.DutiesYou will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices.You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organizations program and administrative operations.You will assign work to subordinates based on employee's capabilities, priorities and difficulty.You will provide technical and administrative oversight, advice and instruction.QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Planning work, setting priorities and scheduling work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect on regular and recurring work. - Understanding/assessing impacts of business systems on financial processes and utilizes integrated federal management systems and sub-systems to extract data, identify and resolve system problems, and maintain data integrity. - Analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of the organization's programs and administrative operations. - Identifying and analyzing problems, i.e. weighs relevance and accuracy of information, seeks/generates and evaluates alternative perspectives/solutions, makes timely/effective recommendations based on potential implications of findings or conclusions, and critically evaluates to identify the causes of problems choosing courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders. - Appling fiscal law, policies, regulations, principles, standards and procedures to financial management. (for example understanding of business rules for CNIC/NAVFAC, CNRMA/MIDLANT, CNIC N4/HQ). - Preparing various financial reports, justifications, charts, graphs, statistical and narrative data, etc. for top-level presentations and briefings to improve operations, correct deficiencies, and prevent recurrent of problems.
