Mechanical Drafter
Job Summary: We are seeking a Mechanical Drafter to support the design and documentation of medium voltage switchgear, E-House systems, and related power distribution equipment. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to develop detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for engineered-to-order products. The Mechanical Drafter will support both new product designs and ongoing production updates, including incorporation of manufacturing redlines and engineering revisions. Projects may include medium voltage switchgear assemblies, bus systems, structural supports, equipment mounting arrangements, skid systems, and modular E-House structures ranging from simple walk-in enclosures to larger data center power modules.The ideal candidate has 2-4+ years of drafting experience in industrial or manufacturing environments and is proficient with SolidWorks. Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using SolidWorksProduce engineering documentation including:General arrangement drawingsSwitchgear assembly layoutsStructural support drawingsBus and compartment layoutsEquipment mounting detailsSkid and base assembly drawingsE-House structural and mechanical layoutsSheet metal and welded assembly detailsBill of materials (BOMs)Support development and modification of medium voltage switchgear designs, modular power enclosures, and related assembliesIncorporate engineering updates, manufacturing redlines, and production feedback into released drawingsCoordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are accurate and manufacturableAssist with drawing revisions and document updates within the PLM systemSupport standardization of drafting practices, templates, and reusable design componentsReview drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company drafting standards Required QualificationsAssociate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or related field preferredMinimum 2-4 years of drafting or mechanical design experience in industrial, manufacturing, or power distribution environmentsProficiency with SolidWorks, 2D and 3D drafting practices, and BOM creation and revision managementAbility to interpret engineering specifications and fabrication requirementsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced engineered-to-order manufacturing environment Preferred QualificationsExperience with Medium voltage switchgear, Power distribution equipment, E-House or modular enclosure systems, Welded and sheet metal assemblies, Structural steel or equipment skid designFamiliarity with manufacturing floor support and engineering redline processesExposure to PLM or document control systemsUnderstanding of industrial fabrication and assembly methods Benefits:PTO/ESSTPaid holidays$100 individual deductible and $300 family deductible health insurancePaid WeeklyVision and Dental Insurance401K / Life Insurance / STD #LI-TV1 Salary Description $73,000 - $82,000
