Journeyman/Cable Spliceman/Groundman/Apprentice

DBE Utility Services aims to hire those who are seeking a stable & consistent career in the URD side of Line-Work. You will work on & learn every part of FPL's URD system as we do it all. You can expect greater opportunities in your growth & knowledge of URD. We are looking for qualified candidates to join our growing team. This position will work daily in the Power Utility Industry. FOREMAN/JOURNEYMAN MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Knowledge of job site & crew safety ABOVE ALL ELSE Knowledge of insulating & isolating energized systems Ability to identify energized & de-energized underground & overhead equipment on 13kv & 23kv systems as well as secondary low voltage equipment & systems Knowledge & ability of operating aerial bucket & lower control systems Knowledge of using load-bust tool, tag-200, LVI, shotgun stick, Extendo stick & all other hot sticks used for the safe operation of insulating & isolating equipment Ability to lead & supervise all levels of crew members Knowledge of switching on loop & feeder circuits Class-A CDL license Able to travel for extended periods of time out of town & state for restoration work CABLE SPLICEMAN MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Ability to follow the safety rules & protocols of your leadership & crew members ABOVE ALL ELSE Knowledge of insulating & isolating energized systems Knowledge of splicing on FPL's various terminations & splices (Feeder/Primary Risers, splice-boxes, vaults, manholes, switch cabinets & transformers) Knowledge & ability of operating aerial bucket & lower control systems Class-A CDL license. Able to travel for extended periods of time out of town & state for restoration work GROUNDMAN/APPRENTICE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Ability to follow safety rules & protocols of your leadership & crew members ABOVE ALL ELSE Efficiently involved with learning & performing the daily tasks & responsibilities of assisting your crew Perform daily tool & equipment checks & housekeeping Must obtain your Class-A CDL license within 90 days Able to travel for extended periods of time out of town & state for restoration work Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location: In person
