Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes.Assist parents in checking students in and out of schoolAssist with the receipt and distribution of student materials, including homework requests.Receive, sort, and distribute mail, messages, documents, and deliveries.Provide clerical assistance as needed including assisting with the scheduling of appointments.Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.Maintain confidentiality of information.Special Knowledge/Skills:Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skillsAbility to use software to develop or maintain spreadsheets, databases, and do word processingAbility to maintain accurate and auditable recordsKnowledge of basic math skillsAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsSupervisory Responsibilities:None.Working Conditions (Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Demands):Use of multi-line phone system, standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals; prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling and twisting; repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching; occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may work prolonged or irregular hours; work with frequent interruptions; and maintain emotional control under stress.The foregoing statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job title.
