This role will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and supporting SAP integrations across SAP and non-SAP platforms, with a focus on SAP BTP/CPI/CI, SAP technical development, interface orchestration, payload validation, monitoring, and cutover readiness.This is a hands-on delivery role for a developer who can work across both SAP integration development and SAP technical build activities, including ABAP-based development, OData/API support, payload mapping, technical troubleshooting, and integration hardening. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, integration-heavy environment with multiple source and target systems, shifting design decisions, and tight timelines tied to SIT, UAT, cutover, and go-live.This resource will work closely with the SAP Integration Lead, Integration Architect, SAP functional leads, business teams, and external partners to reduce design-to-build gaps, accelerate development, and support stable, supportable Day-1 integrations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and support SAP integrations using SAP BTP/CPI/CI and related SAP integration tools.Develop SAP-side technical components needed to support integrations, including ABAP objects, enhancements, services, and interface logic.Support OData, API, IDoc, file-based, and other integration patterns as required by the solution design.Translate approved interface contracts, mapping documents, and technical designs into working integration solutions.Build and maintain message mappings, transformation logic, payload validations, and exception handling rules.Partner with the Integration Architect and SAP Integration Lead to align development to approved standards, patterns, logging, monitoring, and transport practices.Support technical design workshops and help identify impacts, gaps, dependencies, and rework risks before build begins.Develop and unit test integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems, including upstream and downstream dependencies.Implement integration hardening requirements such as retries, idempotency, alerting, logging, correlation IDs, and error handling.Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, deployment steps, and reconciliation evidence for each assigned interface.Support SIT, UAT, cutover, and hypercare by triaging defects, analyzing root causes, fixing technical issues, and validating end-to-end results.Work closely with functional, data, and testing teams to ensure integration behavior supports business process execution and master data requirements.Help define and execute cutover validation steps, post-load checks, interface restart procedures, and production support readiness.Identify and escalate design churn, missing decisions, access issues, technical blockers, and performance concerns that could impact schedule or quality.Coordinate with external vendors, source-system teams, and AMS teams where shared ownership or technical dependencies exist.Required qualifications Minimum of 5 Years SAP CPI Integrations Development Minimum of 3 years SAP S4 ABAP development (CDS views, custom API, extensions etc).Hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying integration flows (iFlows) on SAP Integration Suite, including working with adapters (HTTP, SFTP, SOAP, REST, OData), message mappings, error handling frameworks, and complex groovy scripts.Deep expertise in SAP CPI-specific capabilities including designing reusable integration patterns (content-based routing, splitter/aggregator, publish-subscribe), managing security artifacts (credentials, OAuth, keystores), implementing exception handling and alerting frameworks, and optimizing iFlow performance. Experience with CPI's Script Collection, Value Mappings, and Integration Adapters.Experience translating business requirements into scalable integration and extension architectures, including documentation, unit testing, transport management in cloud environments, and ideally holding relevant certifications such as SAP Certified Associate – Integration Developer.Expertise in SAP's "Clean Core" extensibility strategy — understanding the distinction between in-app extensibility (key user tools), developer extensibility (RAP/BTP), and when to use each. Experience with extending released APIs, CDS views etc is a must.
