Lead Mover & Driver – College Students, Veterans, Skilled Trades encouraged to apply!
WARNING: This will be the best job post you read all day.Actually, why don't you just go ahead and make it the only job post you read all day, mkaaaayy?*sips coffee*Here's the deal: We're a moving company. We pick up people's stuff and carry it from one place to a different place.Sounds simple enough… but it turns out that to be REALLY GOOD movers (the only kind worth being, in our opinion) we need REALLY GOOD people for our Houston branch.People like you. ;)And because really good people like you deserve to be paid well and treated with respect, we put together this pretty kickass compensation package.FIRST, A WORD ABOUT "HOURLY PAY" IN THE MOVING INDUSTRYSome moving companies advertise $25/hr but only pay you for "billable" time — meaning the hours you spend driving to jobs, loading trucks, and waiting between moves don't count.Quick math: If you work an 8-hour day but only 6 hours are "billable," that "$25/hour" is actually $18.75. And it gets worse when overtime kicks in.At Einstein, you're paid from clock-in to clock-out.Every. Single. Hour.No asterisks, no funny math. When we tell you what you'll earn, we mean it.Here's What That Actually Looks LikeYOUR MONEY (THE FUN PART)We'll Be Straight With You. Here's Every Dollar$19/hr base in training. $20/hr base once you're a Lead. That's the guaranteed floor — paid for every hour you're on the clock, not just "billable" ones. Plus tips. Typically $5–$8/hr. (Movers who actually give a damn make more.) Plus performance bonuses once you're out of training. Up to $3/hr. Plus $5/hr any time we call you in last-minute. Plus overtime on hours over 40. Stack it all up and a typical week looks like:Lead in Training: $25–$27.50/hr. Lead: $27.50–$32.25/hr. Top performers earn more. And Leads aren't a dead-end. 4 promotion tiers ahead of you. Your pay grows with you.THE REST OF THE PACKAGEW2 Status (Not 1099) — Full employee benefits including Workers' Comp, overtime protections, and the warm fuzzy feeling of being a real employee. Plus, Einstein covers half of employment taxes (as a 1099 you'd be on the hook for 100%). Affordable Health Insurance including medical, vision and dental, because your eyes and teeth are important. Short-Term Disability — because sometimes life happens and your bills keep coming even when you can't work. 401(k) with 4% Match — it's cheesy, but we love helping you plan for your future. Paid Parental & Bereavement Leave — because your family and community matter. 5 days paid parental leave to start, expanding to 10 after one year. 2 days bereavement. In case you don't feel like doing the math, that all adds up to a "Hell Yeah".FOUR MORE REASONS TO JOIN OUR FUN-LOVING CREWFlexible Schedule — Great for musicians, students, entrepreneurs, athletes, and anyone else who likes mixing it up. Ditch the Desk Job — Spend more time outside, and stay in shape (or casually get ripped) with a job where every day is different. People tell us that's a big deal. Good People & Great Culture — There's a reason folks don't want to leave once they start. Branch competitions, Legend of the Week shoutouts, company trips — we take recognizing great work seriously. Other days you're wrapping a 5-bedroom house with a massive book collection and a sculpture garden. You'll problem-solve on the fly, work with your team, talk to customers, and yeah — you'll sweat.
