Overview In this role you will drive cloud-ready architectures for highly distributed applications, ensuring availability and reliability at scale. You will explore and implement cloud infrastructure across major platforms, shaping how products are delivered and operated. ResponsibilitiesDesign, architecture, and implementation of highly distributed applications for cloud platformsCreate solutions designs, proofs-of-concept, prototypes, and reference modelsCommunicate strategic technical recommendations to Sr. and Executive Management and partnersInfrastructure design and server infrastructure implementation on cloud platformsWork with RESTful APIs/SOAP to architect cloud-ready applicationsLeverage DevOps tools and technologies to support deployment and operations Key requirements3+ years hands-on experience on Cloud platforms (OpenShift, OpenStack, AWS, VMWare, or Azure)15+ years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of distributed applicationsIn-depth technical skills in infrastructure design for cloud platformsExperience with RESTful APIs/SOAPStrong communication skills across levels of leadership and partnersPassion for technology and continuous learningJava/J2EE/JBoss/WAS and .NET Frameworks; 2-3 tier architecturesCloud IaaS/PaaS experience (AWS, VMWare or Pivotal)Linux, Windows server tech, storage/SAN/NAS, OS securityExperience with large databases and scripting; alerting tools (Tivoli, Nimsoft, Dynatrace, Splunk)Strong communicationStrategic thinkingCollaborative teamworkJava/J2EE/JBoss/WAS.NET FrameworksCloud Platforms (AWS, VMWare, OpenShift, OpenStack, Azure)
