Tooling Program Manager

The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the program and ensuring all deliverables are met on time. They will work diligently to fulfill the PSMI commitment of providing the right tool at the right price and the right time, efficiently and accurately performing all tasks related to exceeding our customer’s requirements. Supply Chain & cutting tool background* Job Functions: Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services through improvements to each function (HR, IT, Finance) as well as coordination and communication between functions Drive initiatives in the plant that contribute to long-term operational excellence and cost savings Demonstrate a strong understanding of engineering terminology Promote safety and encourage a safe working environment Utilize financial data to improve profitability Develop/maintain inventory management systems designed to control inventory Plan for effective strategies for the financial well-being of PSMI Liaison with top PSMI management. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity Develop effective business relationships with the customer and supply base Perform purchasing/receiving functions as needed Drive initiatives for cost savings Monitor tool performance and report the results to plant Manage overall location as well as employees on site Create and provide reports and presentations Competencies: Supply Chain Background Required. Tooling & Manufacturing background required. Strong focus on detail, ingenuity, and self-motivation. Have the ability to communicate and work cooperatively with others. Show the ability to help solve problems in the work place by finding solutions. Attend Team meetings and follow up on demands. Stay on track with personal and plant goals, and also the tasks and goals set by your manager. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook required. Education: College degree in Supply Chain Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Technology or Similar Vocational education is required. 3-5 years engineering and/or supply chain experience required with relevant Industry production experience. Knowledge of business and management principles and practices. Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices. Knowledge of human resource principles and practices. Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
