Position Type: Community Education/Preschool Teacher Date Posted: 5/26/2026 Location: Early Learning Center Date Available: 08/24/2026 Closing Date: 06/08/2026 PRESCHOOL TEACHER COMMUNITY EDUCATION WESTONKA PRESCHOOL Early Learning Site Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (7.5 hours daily) 2026-27 School Year Position Available: August 24, 2026 Qualifications: Minnesota Teaching License required with preference given to those with Early Childhood, Kindergarten or Pre-Kindergarten license. Experience working with children with a variety of needs. Must possess a love for young children, and demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience working with the Creative Curriculum/Teaching Strategies GOLD Assessment, the Pyramid Model and Classroom Engagement Model a plus. General Nature of Job: Provide safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for four and five year old children through group and individual learning activities. Develop, plan and prepare appropriate curriculum. Record and assess children's developmental progress. Provide an environment in which children, including those with special needs, may interact with their peers, learn school readiness skills and grow to their full potential. Communicate with parents and interact with families at program events and field trips. Maintain a team relationship with educational assistants and other early childhood staff. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. Community Education Wage Schedule: $28.85 -39.15/hour based on experience and education (Paid holidays/vacation/sick days) Complete online application.
