College & Academic Counselor

Trinity Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and knowledgeable Upper School College and Academic Counselor who is called to serve students with excellence and care. This individual will partner closely with the Director of College Counseling and report to the Head of Upper School.In this role you will support students and families in academic planning and the college discernment process, helping students steward their God-given gifts and pursue their future with purpose. Grounded in biblical truth, this role encourages wise decision-making, academic growth, and Christ-centered character as students prepare for what lies ahead. The start date for this position is August 3, 2026. General & Administrative ResponsibilitiesWork with Upper School students and parents in the college application and selection processAssist with college applications, letters of recommendation and financial aid applicationsProvide academic counsel for students and parentsPlan and execute the annual college day programServe as testing coordinator for the PSAT and PreACT administration for grades 9th-11thServe as testing coordinator for Advanced Placement testsAct as a liaison between college representatives and studentsStay current on changes to the college application process and update the school and students on changesDemonstrate the fruits of the spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) in daily work, and interactions with colleagues and othersRequired Education, Experience and Qualifications Master's degree is preferredBachelor's degree is requiredCollege admissions or high school college counselor experience is preferredStrong organization skillsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsAgree with and support TCA’s Doctrinal, Biblical and Mission statements and Christian valuesPhysical, Mental and Environmental RequirementsRegularly required to sit, stand, stoop, squat down, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hearOperate a computer, and other office equipmentBe able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally be required to lift an/or move up to 50 poundsMust be able to traverse school facilities and move between buildingsJob DetailsPosition: Upper School College CounselorDepartment: Upper SchoolReports To: Head of Upper SchoolStart Date: August 3, 2026Hours: August-June, 40 hours per weekSalary: Commensurate with experienceBenefits: Health, life, dental and vision insurance, Employer-funded retirement plan, 403b, tuition remission, Paid Time-Off
