Data Scientist Intern

Baynovation is hiring a Data Scientist Intern to join our team in San Jose, CA.Come join our collaborative and creative group of data scientists and machine learning engineers and build models that directly affect hundreds of thousands of our customers. In this role you will be building and deploying machine learning models using both analytical algorithms and deep learning approaches. Degree or higher in a quantitative discipline: statistics, applied mathematics, operations research, computer science, management of information systems, engineering, economics or equivalent and returning to the program after the completion of the internshipGood programming skills and knowledge of data science tools and libraries in Python or R, ability to write SQL queries to extract and analyze data.Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, BI dashboarding, R visualization packages, etc.).Good mathematical background (linear algebra, calculus, probability and statistics)Familiar with machine learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering, optimization, etc) and understand their mathematical foundationsAbility to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Currently pursuing a B.A./B.S.
