External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.Your RoleEMD Electronics is seeking a Technical Representative for its North America Field Service team. The Technical Representative will perform installation, warranty and standard repairs of systems that maintain supply of production material utilized in a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as Smart Phones, LED's, and Flat Screen TV's. This is a challenging, hands-on, rewarding job opportunity for people who want to join a growing business.NA Field Service personnel travel to multiple customer locations or may be assigned to a specific site to provide equipment support. The scope of services may include maintaining the operation, repair of gas / chemical distribution equipment, gas / chemical blending equipment, critical monitoring systems and life safety systems. They will ensure compliance in operation and procedures, emergency preparedness, and drive flawless execution.Preform pre-task planning and equipment condition analysis prior to starting any workEmpowered to Stop the Job and escalateResponsible for completion of customer requested tasksAudit equipment and maintenance areas according to quality and safety standardsEnsure processes and procedures are followedReport quality and safety issues immediately via the escalation processTakes ownership of NCE events and the RMA process to address equipment concerns in a timely mannerComplete all Field documentation accurately and submit for invoicing at the completion of the taskProvide solutions to the customer for equipment configuration, maintenance, and operationPhysical Attributes80% of walking throughout the facility (5-6 miles per day)Climbing of ladders up to 12-foot-tall (utilizing fall protection)Basic lifting (up to 40lbs)Bending of the knees and overhead reachingAble to recognize and respond to safety alarmsBe capable of traveling 85% of the timeWho You AreMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED1+ years' experience as a Megasys Technician Level III or other Industrial / Semiconductor experience1+ years' experience with Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) experienceValid US PassportValid Driver’s License with no infractions over the past 36 monthsPreferred QualificationsAssociate's Degree in a technical fieldUnderstanding of engineering drawingsAbility to analyze and interpret technical informationBasic plumbing and electronic skill setsAbility to work in a diverse and dynamic environmentAbility to plan and prioritize activitiesGood communication and interpersonal skillsProblem-solving skills and Root Cause Analysis (5-Why, Fishbone, 4M, 5M or 6M)Understanding of Health and Safety practices (Strong OSHA, DOT or COI Experience)Ability to communicate concisely and accurately from remote locations while travelingAdvanced organizational skillsAwareness of ISO9000 / ISO9001Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processesWhat we offer: We are curious minds that come from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
