Title: IT Support Specialist | Systems & Application SupportLocation: Onsite - Tucker, GADuration: Contract | Full-Time | 6-Month ContractJob Description: We are seeking an IT Support Specialist (also known as a Help Desk Technician, Desktop Support Analyst, or End-User Support Specialist) to provide hands-on IT support and application assistance to end users across a government agency environment. This IT support role involves system troubleshooting, software installation, and user training in a professional onsite setting.Roles & ResponsibilitiesProvide IT support and user assistance for management information systems via phone and onsite visitsTroubleshoot end-user application and hardware problems, diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficientlyDeliver ongoing operational support for application systems, including on-call application support coverageInstall, configure, and upgrade software on PCs in accordance with IT policies and proceduresCommunicate with management and departmental staff regarding system status, equipment issues, and job execution updatesDevelop training materials and conduct training programs for hardware and software end usersAnalyze user needs and recommend or implement software modifications to improve system performanceSkillsIT support / help desk support / desktop support / end-user technical supportSystem/network administration and supportApplication support and troubleshootingInformation security / privacy fundamentalsSoftware installation and upgrades (PC/Windows environment)Training development and delivery for hardware/software usersCustomer service and stakeholder communicationApplication development (basic) / application operations supportQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum 6 months of experience in IT support, information security, system/network administration, or application developmentDemonstrated ability to independently provide technical support to computer users in an assigned geographic areaAbility to pass a federal and national background check and pre-employment testing
