Plant Engineer
Plant Vehicle Engineer Minimum 5 Years experience as a Plant Vehicle EngineerVenteon is currently seeking an experienced Plant Engineer to fill an opening with a manufacturing company located in Warsaw, Indiana. The ideal candidates should have a strong background quality and manufacturing in an automotive plant / body shop. Requirements of the Plant Vehicle Engineer Additional technical training (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, SPC, Green Belt, etc.) preferred8+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a Master’s, or 3 years with a PhD (or equivalent), preferably in Automotive Body, Process, or Industrial Engineering4+ years of experience in vehicle development and launch, with understanding of the full product lifecycleStrong knowledge of BOMs, OEE, manufacturability, process design/validation, assembly methods, and cost reductionStrong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teamsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and documentsExperience with AUTOCAD, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, or similar toolsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver detailed, optimized solutionsHands-on assembly line experience with a focus on continuous improvementExperience with structured problem-solving methods (Six Sigma, DFSS, etc.)DFM and DFA experience Responsibilities of the Plant Vehicle Engineer Support resolution of Body Department issues from plant, field, and suppliersCollaborate with Design Engineering to launch products with minimal impact to plant metricsDrive optimization of parts, assemblies, and systemsConduct process simulations, risk assessments, and data analysis to improve performanceSupport plant layout, tooling, material flow, and waste reduction improvementsParticipate in launch activities including design reviews, builds, and validationsSupport prototype builds, process development, and equipment improvementsAssist with launch and model year change activitiesCollaborate cross-functionally to integrate new parts and processesWork with Manufacturing to improve assembly processes aligned with design intentEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standardsMonitor KPIs and take proactive action to prevent defectsPartner with internal and external teams to implement best practices in inspection and process control If you are a high performer and would like to work for an equally high performing company and you think the above opportunity is appropriate for you, we invite you to submit your resume in Microsoft Word format to bray@venteon.us.com.
